The shield of England, in which three lions appear, goes back to his adoption for Ricardo Corazón de León in 1198. The shield, similar to the shield of Normandy, is defined in the heraldic language as: in a field of gules, three lions leopardados of gold, armed and linguados of azure. England does not possess a national anthem officially designated as such, since it it is God Save the Queen with the United Kingdom as everything. Nevertheless, some songs have been considered to be a national anthem of England as Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory, who was used as such in the Games of the Union of 2002, and I Vow to Thee, My Country.
