Charles Dickens
(7 de Febrero de 1812 - 9 de Junio de 1870.)





Charles Dickens, born On February 7, 1812 in Portsmouth, he is considered to be the most famous of the writers of the Victorian epoch in England, as well as one of the undoubted universal classic ones of the literature. His infancy, poor, self-taught up to nine years, formed across readings, especially, " The Cuisse of the Spot ", forced him to know I work hard, in very poor conditions, to the age of 12 years, epoch in which it began to get out of a jam as baler of bitumens for shoes, in the factory Warren " s Blacking, after the imprisonment of his father, for motive of unpaid debts.


This, partly it was solved on having received an inheritance of his paternal grandmother. This made him possible to be present again at the school, leaving the factory. Nevertheless, at the age of 15, it left his studies to get out of a jam itself as messenger in a law office. It began his labor as journalist, from 1828, as editor of the Morning Chronicle, then The Mirror of Parlament and later for George Hogarth's newspaper under the title Sketches by Boz. In 1836 it contracted link with Katherine Hogarth, daughter of George Hogarth with which it had 10 children.

. From 1850, it suffered problems of health and the death of one of his daughters, of his father and of his sister, besides his divorce. In 1865, a terrible railway accident happened to him, and in 1870 he suffered a cerebral spillage that caused the death, on June 8 of this year in his Gadshill Place's house.

Oliver Twist.





The book reports the history of a poor, tired and pregnant woman who is in London, which there before giving birth, is gathered and taken to a hospice where the child is born of this one. The mother was in so bad conditions that he dies in the childbirth, to the child newborn child a man called Mr. Bumble (owner of the hospice), on not having had the small name decides to put him Oliver Twist, to whom then it supports parish, feeding him and a site to sleep. Until one day Mr. Bumble Mr decides to lead him to working to an undertaker's establishment with a man. Sowerberry, which is a gravedigger, but it does not make to Oliver grace great, and returns to the hospice because of an unfortunate event.

Then it goes to London where Jew meets a band of thieves, led by an old man, with beard called Fagín, which accepts Oliver as member more in the band knowing there Betsy, John Dawkins " Cunning Rogue ", etc... Fagín one day gives the orders to steal Oliver, and if the boy does not do it the old man would give him a good beating, because this way it is since it was treating the children if they were not obeying him a beating was beating them to the boys, because Fagín was feeding them etc.


Oliver was preparing to steal with other companions an old man Mr. Brownlow and it took them, lucky the man did not take them to the police, and rescued Oliver of the band of the Jewish old man Fagín, after this Oliver falls patient and Ms. Bedwin takes care of him, Oliver at the time in this moment is happy because they worry for him. Later Bill Sikes captures Oliver, then they hurt this one.
Then Fagín is condemned to the gallows for committing all the crimes already named before, and later Oliver realizes that the old man Fagín is the most close relative of this one and then the boy remains with the inheritance of the one that Mr had ill-treated and stuck constant. Brownlow adopts Oliver
